Association Launches the First Website for Canadian
Virtual Assistants
September 5, 2002… Ottawa, ON….The Canadian Virtual
Assistants’ Association, CVAC Success, is proud to announce
the launch of its new website at http://www.CVAC .ca.
The rapidly growing Association developed the site as a multi-purpose
communication tool, providing a portal for both Canadian Virtual
Assistants and for those who need administrative help.
“The CVAC Success website was designed
to be a “one stop shop” for our members to find
helpful information and to network”, says April Boomer,
Co-Founder of CVAC Success. “It is also a place where
overworked business professionals can go to find a qualified
and creative assistant when they need one.
”Virtual Assistants offer their clients
a variety of services to help them get a handle on their overflow
and non-core tasks. Handling everything from Word Processing
to Web Design, a CVAC member is the business professional’s
answer to a personal assistant, without all the costs of hiring
one."
The site boasts content and resources contributed
by its members, for its members. “We wanted to build
a home where VAs could get help running their businesses”,
comments Janice Byer, a volunteer Board member and owner of
Docu-Type Administrative & Web Design Services in Caledon
East, Ontario (www.docutype.net).
“And as part of their free membership, we ask that members
contribute, both to the site and to the email discussion list.”
“The website is also a way for the Association
to help busy entrepreneurs get the help they need”,
remarks Elayne Whitfield, the third volunteer Board member
and owner of Executive Assistance in Barrie, Ontario (www.executiveassistance.org).
“We wanted to make it easy for prospective clients to
learn about and find a VA so we have included a complete member
listing, divided by province, and a Request for Proposal system
which allows visitors to enter their requirements and receive
responses from qualified members.”
CVAC Success, and all of its members, invites
everyone in their communities to see the world of Virtual
Assistants, from a Canadian perspective, at http://www.cvac.ca

Help us build CVAC !
CVAC is by VAs for VAs!
And, as you can see, we are building the website one
step at a time. So, we want your input! The combination
of pages that are laid out so far is a great starting
point but... What would you like to see included? If
you have any suggestions, tips, links, or anything that
would be appropriate for the existing pages or, perhaps
you would like to see some other pages added... please
let us know!
Email your suggestions to Our
Web Team |
