All of the following must be included in order to process your application. As the required information is judged on a point system, if you happen to not include anything, those points will be not be included and thus, your total score will be affected. Please also note that none of the information you provide can be returned to you so be sure to keep copies of all the forms you include and do not include any originals that are of importance (ie. diplomas).

  1. On your company letterhead, please provide CVAC with your request to be evaluated for the CCVA designation and give authorization for your credentials and references to be checked for authentication. This letter should also include your email address and daytime phone number in case we need to contact you regarding your application.

  2. Please provide a Resume or CV of your experience. Be sure that you include your work history and education and that all information is up-to-date and in chronological order.

  3. Provide copies of your diplomas or school transcripts to verify your education. Do not include originals. Also, if you have any other courses or programs that you feel will add to your credibility, please include any certifications that you received (ie. Brainbench, MS Certification, etc.).

  4. Include a listing of professional references. Be sure they are those that will verify your professionalism in the VA field, such as clients, business associates, or fellow VAs. Provide a link to your website.

  5. As a Virtual Assistant, your website is your storefront and a necessity if you want to bring in clients from other parts of Canada or throughout the world.

  6. Include your business card and any other piece of marketing material that you designed which will show your creativity and professionalism.

  7. Download, fill in and include the following VA & Small Business Questions. (Please note that this form is in PDF format and will require the Adobe Reader to view and to fill in. If you do not have the latest version, please download it at the Adobe Website).

  8. Summarize your information and go through a required information checklist on the CCVA Summary Form. (Again, this form is in PDF format.) Put together all of the above information in such a way that would impress a client, if they were the ones that were reading it.

  9. Knock our socks off!!!

  10. Mail your application, along with a cheque made payable to CVAC for $50.00 for those with a full membership (Join CVAC today to take advantage of the lower certification fee) or $75.00 for those with a limited membership, to the following address:
