Marketing to Authors for Virtual Assistants
Find Your Niche Helping Authors Tame the Publishing Process
With about 150,000 new books being published each year, if you
haven’t worked with an author, but you work with speakers,
coaches, attorneys, or entrepreneurs, chances are, one of these
people will become an author and will be interested in getting
your help along the way.
Many of the skills you have as a VA are directly transferable to
the specific kind of tasks needed and valued by authors as they
make their way through the publishing process. If you find this
prospect interesting, you may decide to make working with
authors a niche or specialty for your practice, as many VA’s
have.
The first question we hear from someone considering adding to
their virtual skills to work with authors, or making working
with authors their niche, is:
“How do I know I can find clients if I become an author’s
assistant?”
In this session we cover:
-
Where to find authors who need VA’s,
-
How to market to authors and
-
What VA skills authors are
looking for.
There is a special note-taking handout created especially for
this session that will leave you with many take-aways you can
put into practice as soon as the class is over.
